Programme Manager (Fixed Term)

The Cancer Research UK Cambridge Centre (CCC) is seeking to recruit a Programme Manager to support two programmes, Aerodigestive Cancer (AC) and Cell and Molecular Biology (CMB).   This is an exciting new position where the Programme Manager will work directly with the Programme Leads, including those in collaborating institutions and respective administration organizations.

Whilst both Programmes have similar remits the strategies and operational plans will be specific for each programme with direction set by the Programme Leads. The role will include monitoring of programme objectives against milestones, co-ordination of resources, meeting management and support to Programme Leads. Supporting grant applications and monitoring grant expenditure will also form part of the role. Other activities will be agreed at Programme level.

Applicants will ideally have a degree in a relevant subject or equivalent. In addition, they will have excellent organisation skills, programme management experience, and previous exposure to clinical or translational research.   Applicants should be able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, a systematic and rigorous approach to work, and the ability to work in a team.
