Full Time Post: 36.25 hours per week

Reporting to the Head of Collections, Digital Innovation & Learning Services, the Collection Services Manager will lead and manage the Collections Team.  You will be expected to facilitate and embed a culture of excellence through the development, implementation and monitoring of appropriate policies, procedures and practices, ensuring that bibliographic services and the provision of information resources at UCA are innovative, responsive and informed by sector best practice.

The Collections Services Manager will be responsible for the monitoring and reporting of the information resource budget and will liaise with departments within UCA to ensure financial and procurement regulations are adhered to. To provide specialist information, advice and guidance in the area of collections development and be responsible for developing and maintaining policy framework for collections services and information resources.  Ensuring the work of the team is coordinated and aligned with that of Gateway Services, Digital Services and Learning Services to deliver  a service that meets the needs of the University, its students and staff, and will work closely with other managers in LSS to ensure the integration and effectiveness of collections services.   You will be expected to visit the other three campuses on rotation which are located in Epsom, Rochester and Canterbury.
