We invite applications for a Research Grant Writer in the School of Environment, Education and Development in the Faculty of Humanities. The role will be tenable immeadiately for a fixed term two-year appointment. The appointment will work with the existing cohort of Research Grant Writers who are also based in Schools within the Faculty.

The Research Grant Writer will work under the guidance of a senior academic colleague (e.g. the School Research Director) to compose high-quality applications for multiple research project grants on behalf of the School, and in collaboration with partners, such as colleagues from other disciplines in the Faculty of Humanities, the wider University and external partners.

You must have an established track record of supporting and collaborating on the writing of successful grant applications. Relevant areas of experience include the management of large research grants and the writing of fundraising grants, with particular background in RCUK and EU bid development. Experience in writing grant applications and proposals to private trusts and foundations is also desirable.

You will have demonstrable writing skills, and be expected to initiate and coordinate collaborative partnerships representing the School’s strategic priorities.

Working closely with the School Research Director, the School and Faculty Research Support Service team, the Research Grant Writer will be responsible for developing excellent research plans, and resource allocations for the projects.
