We are seeking to appoint an individual with experience of working in a Facilities / Estates environment to join our friendly, busy Estates and Security team. You will be responsible for the ongoing day to day upkeep and general maintenance of the sites, fixtures/fittings, building fabric and services across Uxbridge and Hayes campuses.
The role will involve carrying out minor repairs to rooms, flooring, doors and windows, basic plumbing, furniture repair and furniture movement/assembly. You would also carry out fire alarm testing and routine inspections of the campus, reporting all Health and Safety issues to the Estates team. You will also be willing to become a practising First Aider after a period of training.
You will need to have at least 3 years’ experience in a Facilities/Estates role, with practical experience of carrying out routine physical tasks and minor maintenance work and possess a full, clean driving licence. You will be a good team player and be able to communicate effectively with staff, students and members of the public. We will support you to obtain relevant qualifications such as the IOSH Managing Safely qualification, if you do not already possess this.
