The Post
The University of Stirling is seeking to appoint a new Director of Student Services to build on our excellent reputation for student-centred and inclusive services, and support delivery and achievement of the University’s new Strategic Plan and its focus on the personal and academic growth of our student community. You will work in partnership with the University’s faculties, professional services and senior management team to support, develop, monitor and deliver key objectives for the student experience.
You will have responsibility for the leadership of integrated student services for the University community, via our one stop Student Hub, accessibility and inclusion services, chaplaincy, counselling and wellbeing services. You will lead the further development of strategic partnership and collaboration with the University of Stirling Students’ Union, to enhance the support, community and social experience of student life.
Working across organisation boundaries to set strategic direction for all aspects of student services and support, and work collaboratively with other institutional leaders and their teams to deliver a student experience that empowers students and graduates to reach their full potential.
Help drive the success of our institution through your strategic leadership and operational direction. You will champion the experience of our diverse student community and inspire our teams to be consistently welcoming and inclusive, fostering an inclusive culture that helps build belonging.
You will be supported by high performing, multi-disciplinary teams and will ensure that they are appropriately structured to deliver on strategic objectives, vision and service standards. You will provide leadership of a broad range of student-oriented services to deliver end to end support services and systems across the University, that meet the needs of a diverse and international student community. Your leadership will help foster a shared community culture that supports the University’s values of ambition, integrity and respect.
