Salary: 

Lecturer F: £39,347 to £44,263 per annum

Lecturer G: £45,585 to £54,395 per annum

Senior Lecturer H: £56,021 to £64,914 per annum

The Role

The Biosciences Institute seeks to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Regenerative Medicine.

Newcastle University's Biosciences Institute (NUBI) hosts a multi-disciplinary community of researchers who are focussed on the fundamental biology of life to obtain mechanistic understanding of human diseases and improve human health. NUBI harbours state-of-the-art facilities including specialised suites for stem cell expansion, GMP facilities, cutting edge single cell sequencing, imaging, animal, flow cytometry and mass spectrometry core facilities.

You will be expected to deliver active programmes of research and contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and supervision within the School of Biomedical, Nutritional and Sport Sciences. You will take on leadership roles as appropriate, including mentoring of other colleagues, curriculum development and engagement activities.

You will ideally perform research in Regenerative Medicine and apply it to one of the Biosciences Institute's strategic areas of strength such as cancer, neuroscience, ageing, rare diseases or microbiology.

Please note that if you are successful to this role, you will require medical clearance before you can commence in the role.
