Annual Leave: 30 days plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year

Location: MacLaurin Building, Hatfield, University of Hertfordshire

Academic Registry is a busy, dynamic, multi-functional department. We need a skilled, enthusiastic, and pro-active person to support us in delivering external statistical returns and internal business reporting, relating to the University’s students.

Main duties and responsibilities

You will assist the production and presentation of analytical business information, using a range of tools and techniques to assist our Business Analysts team in preparing and developing statutory returns for external bodies. You will use and maintain spreadsheets, databases, dashboards, and reporting systems and will develop and maintain an understanding of the University’s academic provision and business information requirements to support the team. You will also be required to complete additional duties outlined by the Academic Registrar, which may include specific projects.

Skills and experience required

You will also have proven high level IT skills, particularly an understanding of relational databases and database applications and be able to produce clear and impactful data visualisation. You will have a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail. You will have experience of working under your own initiative with some day-to-day experience in a high-pressured team environment. You will also have experience of producing business information. You will have effective communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to create good working relationships both internally and externally.

Qualifications required

You must hold a minimum of a degree (or equivalent) level qualification or have relevant professional experience.
