About the role

We’re looking for an all-round creative doer with strong editorial skills to join our Creative team within the Digital and Creative Media department.

Are you a confident communicator, familiar with all aspects of the publishing process both online and in print? Do you have excellent organisational skills? Are you used to working with editors, designers and print suppliers? Do you work well in a busy team environment? Are you a good proof-reader, with an eagle eye for detail? Do you understand the importance of branding in communications?

If so, you could be the person we need to join our expanded Creative team during an exciting period in the University’s development. Reporting to the Head of Creative, you’ll support the work of the team on a range of tasks from scheduling projects and providing copyediting and proofing support, to assisting with photoshoots, maintaining our central Asset Bank, assisting with branding requests that come into the team, and some filing and records keeping.

You’ll work with colleagues in the team and across the University to ensure that our high-quality publications and other creative and editorial work are accurate, attractive and delivered to deadline. You’ll also work with colleagues in checking and correcting copy to support a high standard of consistency and quality.

About you

You’ll be editorially savvy, with proven planning and organisational skills alongside a creative flair. You’ll be keen to support colleagues in prioritising a demanding workload. This is a busy and pressured environment where you will need to be flexible, turning your hand to our priority projects and working well as part of a team.

You’ll have strong communication and project management skills and experience, which you’ll lean on as you work with our students, alumni, academic colleagues and professional services staff, as well as our partner designers.

Attention to detail, together with good planning and organisational skills are essential. You will have an eagle eye for detail and be a rigorous fact-checker.
