We currently have an exciting opportunity for 2 x Robotics / Engineering Technician to join our NERIC Team, developing robotic and automated solutions.

The role will provide technical support for the academic and research staff within the NERIC facility. This will include supporting the design and execution of the project, the maintenance and management of systems/equipment within the facility and engagement with businesses.

The role will form part of a Specialist Technician team providing support across the specialist spaces within the Centre.  This team will have a day-to-day responsibility for specialist laboratories and will work closely with academic and professional services colleagues to ensure appropriate provision of technical resources.

NERIC is an internationally acclaimed research and innovation ‘go-to’ facility and provider of Robotics / AI solutions for SMEs; housing robotics, manufacturing labs, a healthcare robotics laboratory, an industrial collaboration space and a smart mobility laboratory and will serve as a hub for the University of Salford’s robotics and automation specialists who are looking to work with SMEs around the country to provide solution development, design, testing and validation of digital innovation.

We will focus on the needs of SMEs, providing the facilities, expertise and equipment, to help introduce new technologies in innovative ways.

The Centre will look to develop solutions to problems that can be matured for everyday use - technologies that become ubiquitous, an essential part of how we all work and live.
