An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administrative Assistant to undertake secretarial and administrative duties to support Student Services. You will work as part of the Professional Services Team (PST) and provide administrative support in Student Services. PST support the work of over 70 advisers, tutors, therapists, and senior managers in Student Services and is the essential logistical support for all processes and activities of STS.
The role provides a high quality administrative support across all areas of the Service, enabling Advisers and other senior staff to deliver the vital services to students and ensuring an excellent provision continues to be delivered.
Duties will include responding to email enquiries from students, University staff, external enquirers, and organisations. Provision of administrative support to support internal processes in Student Services e.g., appointment booking, online referral processing, creation and maintenance of trackers and forms, dealing with appointment queries.
You will have a good standard of secondary education or equivalent experience in a similar role. Strong organisational, interpersonal and communication skills are essential as is the ability to manage a varied workload in a high paced environment.
There are two posts available immediately on a part-time (0.6FTE/21.75 hours per week) basis. One post is available on an indefinite basis and the other on a fixed term basis to 31 July 2025 to cover the buyout of the current post holder.
UEA offers a variety of flexible working options. This part-time post is offered on either a campus or hybrid basis, for the latter with at least one day per week being based on campus. Normal hours would be Wednesday to Friday on the basis of 9am - 5pm, 8.30am - 4.30pm or 8am - 4pm.
