The School of Chemistry, Pharmacy and Pharmacology at the University of East Anglia is seeking to appoint to a fixed-term teaching focussed position to support the Head of School. You will have experience of teaching pharmacology and related subjects at undergraduate level. You will join a collegial, supportive department with an innovative teaching environment and a passion for excellence in research and teaching. You will be able to demonstrate a student focused approach to teaching and will develop teaching activities that promote connectivity between our research and teaching activities, together with creating students who think creatively and critically. 

Main role

You will be expected to contribute to teaching in Pharmacology and related areas within the School of Chemistry, Pharmacy and Pharmacology (CPP), supporting the Head of School and contributing to administration within the School. General administrative duties will be decided as part of the internal review of administrative roles within the School and are cycled regularly.

You should possess the following skills:

  • Knowledge and experience in receptor pharmacology.
  • A proven ability to supervise undergraduate research.
  • Teaching and lecturing skills for undergraduate students across the MPharm, PDD BSc and MSc programmes in the School. Your expertise is crucial for delivering research-led teaching for different cohorts of students in the School.
  • Administrative skill sets to undertake various administrative roles within the School.

This full-time post is available from 1 August 2024 for five years.
