Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a position of Teaching Assistant Manager for Imperial College Business School. This managerial role will help to lead the planning and allocation of Teaching Assistants (TA's) for all Business School.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to take on a more senior role in a career in higher education administration.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Teaching Assistant Manager will work with all Business School departments and Programme teams to identify their TA requirements, maintain up-to-date records as well as provide guidance to Teaching Assistants and other stakeholders regarding the TA policies and casual worker registration process. The Teaching Assistant Manager will manage the feedback provided by students about TA's and lead the design and implementation of a training and mentoring programme to support their ongoing development.
Essential Requirements
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a genuine dedication to providing a high standard of customer service; an ability to take ownership of problems and work hard to resolve them, have good communication, team working and problem-solving skills and have a positive, flexible approach to the role. They will also be committed to personal development and willing to be involved in projects and initiatives to develop teaching support activities.
We are looking for applicants with good MS Office skills. Relevant professional experience in Higher Education would be advantageous.
