The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FMHS) Strategic Change Programme is a newly formed strategic programme at the University of Nottingham, comprising a suite of projects and workstreams spanning physical and digital infrastructure, people and culture, student experience and research performance, focussed on the delivery of improvements in student outcomes and satisfaction, research outputs, and staff engagement, enabling the delivery of the vision and ambition of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences for the next 30 years.

This role is a key part of the newly established FMHS Strategic Change programme team. The purpose of this HRBP for Change role is to support the delivery of strategic and operational aspects of the HR service provision. The successful candidate will work closely with HRBP’s delivering HR policies relating to change, streamlining processes and driving improvements.

You will be an experienced HR Business Partner joining an established and supportive HR Business Partnering team and you will have project and change management experience whilst working in a complex unionised environment.

As a HR Business Partner for Change your role will be to establish credibility to be a trusted adviser by building and maintaining influential relationships with senior leaders at the University. You will provide HR Change solutions that link to business plans and strategic objectives. With well-developed skills of mentoring and coaching others you will guide and coach to support colleagues and managers; ensuring appropriate application of the University’s policies and procedures, effective management of risks, and fair treatment of colleagues.

You will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. You will be proficient in Microsoft Office and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage with a wide variety of stakeholders with a customer focus.

The role is being offered on a full-time (36.25 hours) fixed term-term contract until the 31st July 2026. Job share arrangements may be considered.
