The Fashion Marketing and Retailing programme team consists of passionate and dedicated academics from a range of backgrounds, with distinct and diverse specialisms. The team contributes to the delivery of the programme at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, and form active members of numerous Fashion Marketing and Retailing educational networks and bodies, relating the success of the fast-growing programme to a broader network of Fashion Marketing and Retailing educators at an international scale.

The successful applicant will be a creative, inspirational, academic practitioner with specific skills and industry experience in Fashion, Marketing, and Retailing. You will:

  • Actively contribute to the development of the Fashion Marketing & Retailing programme and be experienced in learning, teaching, and assessment at HE level. An enthusiastic and visionary academic who will support and encourage students to achieve their full potential, you will have the ability to develop live, collaborative projects and demonstrate a willingness to engage creatively in the wider activities of the School.
  • Be highly professional and a committed team player, flexible in approach with excellent communication, timekeeping, and organisational skills, and be willing to undertake administrative duties associated with the role.
  • Possess a strong understanding of contemporary practice, issues, and current debate within the Fashion Marketing and Retailing industry. This will underpin your passion for enhancing your own practice and will inform you knowledge of the skills.

Qualifications:

  • The successful applicant will have a minimum Master’s Degree. A PhD would be desirable together with any research record portfolio.
  • Recognised teaching qualification, i.e. PGCert/PGCap or membership/fellowship of higher education academy; or be committed to achieving this within 2 years of appointment.
