The Lancashire Enterprise Partnership (LEP) is working in partnership with the Department of Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) to drive the development of Local Digital Skills Partnerships locally and across the Country, as referenced in the Industrial Strategy.
We are seeking a Digital Skills Coordinator to work with us to develop and establish a strong partnership locally, building on initial foundations, and to work with DCMS to support the development a network of partnerships across England.
The post will be based with the LEP's Skills and Employment Hub in Preston, and will develop and implement an ambitious project plan which aligns to the Lancashire Skills and Employment Framework, which in turn underpins the LEP's Strategic Economic Plan and the ambition to drive 'Skills for Growth' within an inclusive labour market. The post will also regularly visit DCMS in London to help drive partnerships across the Country.
The Local Digital Skills Partnership is about working together with partners, including employers, providers and stakeholders, who are passionate about making a difference and have an ambition to tackle the digital skills gap. The ideal person for this post shares this passion and wants every individual and every business to have the skills and confidence to seize the opportunities of digital technology.
The post is fixed term for 12 months in the first instance.
