UCD invites applications for a Temporary Lecturer/Assistant Professor (Below the Bar) in Early Medieval History (c. 400-1000AD) within UCD School of History.

The School of History, University College Dublin seeks to appoint a temporary lecturer / assistant professor in Early Medieval History (c. 400-1000AD). Preference may be given to those with an ability and willingness to teach across early Irish, British and European history.

The post-holder will have a PhD in a relevant area, a proven teaching ability and evidence of potential towards high-quality research and publication. They will design and deliver teaching on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the field of Early Medieval History and will contribute to the School’s research profile through high-quality publications.

95 Lecturer/Assistant Professor (below the bar) Salary Scale: €33,479 - €58,760 per annum

Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
