The School of Design brings together the key subjects of Fashion, Textiles, Fashion Buying, Product, Furniture, Crafts and Interior Design. The School incorporates undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD study with excellence in teaching, research and design consultancy.
Please note: the salary shown is for Grade F/G. As the post is 0.8 FTE, the salary will be pro-rata'd accordingly.
We require a creative individual to teach at both undergraduate and post graduate levels. Fashion Design at De Montfort University is well established with a recognised profile within the UK fashion education sector, renowned for working with leading companies with an enviable track record of competition success. You will join a team of specialists to contribute to the strategic development of the subject area, further enhancing our growing reputation, nationally and internationally.
With a degree and a wealth of appropriate industry experience you will have an excellent understanding of the subject area and a thorough knowledge of creative design processes for contemporary and innovative fashion.
Experience of teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level is advantageous.
You will be expected to make a substantial contribution to the academic and reputational development of the Fashion Design subject area and to engage in scholarly research.
