We have a vacancy for a Oncology Data Manager at the Cancer Clinical Trials Centre. The Cancer Clinical Trials Centre is involved in research studies ranging from dose-finding Phase I studies through to post-marketing Phase IV trials.
You will work primarily with Data Management and Clinical staff within the Academic Unit of Clinical Oncology, based in the Cancer Clinical Trials Centre at Weston Park Hospital. The main objective of the role is to provide sound, accurate clinical research data on patients who have been entered into local, national and international oncology clinical trials. You will be responsible for all trial documentation according to Good Clinical Practice guidelines/EU directive. The main focus is to interpret and transfer information from patient notes to case report forms, answer data queries and maintain all associated trial documentation.
You should have experience in dealing with clinical research data and be able to understand and interpret clinical information. Confidence and skill with using IT systems and databases is also essential. Knowledge of Oncology would be particularly advantageous e.g. a Health Care qualification or Biosciences/Life Sciences Degree.
Due to the changing portfolio, you should have a flexible approach and be willing to work within different research teams as and when the portfolio and active recruitment changes.
This is an office based role and does not involve data manipulation, creating databases or patient contact.
