The School of Mathematics, Computer Science & Engineering is a multi-disciplinary centre of research and education located in the heart of London’s vibrant design community. It is proud of its research advances and of educating thousands of undergraduates and postgraduates in STEM subjects.
The Department of Computer Science has over 480 undergraduate students studying on several MSci and BSc programmes; and over 340 masters and 55 doctoral research students. The Department has a long tradition of excellence in education and improves the content of its programmes continuously.
The School is seeking to appoint three outstanding academics to Lectureships or Senior Lectureships in Artificial Intelligence. The Department of Computer Science is strengthening its position in the areas of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, with the creation of a new MSc in Artificial Intelligence; the Interdisciplinary Research Centre in Data Science; and the EIT-Digital Industrial Artificial Intelligence Doctoral Programme.
The appointed Lecturers or Senior Lecturers will contribute to the delivery of high quality education in core Computer Science programmes and develop the research of the Department and the School.
The successful candidates will have a PhD in Computer Science or an area related to Artificial Intelligence; a track record of world-leading or internationally excellent research; experience of and a commitment to providing education in Deep Learning and at least one of Mathematics of Artificial Intelligence, Software Agents and Explainable Artificial Intelligence; and experience of Higher Education programme management.
