We're looking for an exceptional Operations Manager to join us at University of Nottingham Libraries. It's a brand new role, designed to lead on core aspects of departmental business, so you'll be working right across our large team. You'll have a good mix of skills - whilst we need a background in HR and finance, we also want you to have experience in staff engagement, training and development and be an excellent manager.

Reporting into our Deputy Director, you'll lead on areas of compliance, including GDPR, as well as leading on our risks and business continuity strategies. You'll also work closely with our senior management team on financial issues such as procurement, contracts and budget management. You'll be the lead on training and development for our department and take a key role in supporting staff engagement.

We are a department committed to exceptional behaviours and ways of working, so we'd like you to have a high degree of emotional intelligence and be used to giving and receiving constructive feedback. We also aim to cultivate a working environment which enables staff to be the best that they can be and coordinate support for staff, which considers wellbeing and resilience. Within this context, you will proactively develop staff within your team, inspiring them to seek continuous improvement and actively encouraging inclusion.

This is a full time, permanent position. Job share arrangements may be considered.
