The Politics Department within the School of Social Sciences is looking to appoint a Lecturer in International Relations/Politics to support research and teaching available from 1 September 2019. The post is open to all areas of International Relations/Politics broadly defined. We would particularly encourage applications from specialists in sub-fields in global environmental politics, international security (both traditional and critical approaches), gender and IR theory.

Lecturer applicants must have, or be about to complete, a relevant PhD and demonstrate the potential to produce high-quality publications and to provide excellent teaching.

As an equal opportunities employer, we welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons. However, as black and minority ethnic (BME) candidates are currently under-represented at this level in this area, we would particularly welcome applications from BME applicants. All appointments will be made on merit.

Please note that we are unable to respond to enquiries, accept CVs or applications from Recruitment Agencies.
