The Sheffield School of Architecture is making a strong commitment to strengthening its learning and teaching through investment in key areas. As part of this investment we wish to recruit an exceptional candidate for University Teacher post for the Undergraduate ARB/RIBA Part 1 programme. You will have an excellent teaching track record, scholarly output and practice experience.
As a future member of Pedagogy, Practice and Scholarship Group, you will be working closely with colleagues to develop your scholarship and contribute to the School’s ambition in this area. This will include developing collaborations with national and international partners, presenting your work at key fora, disseminating your work using a variety of media to target a wider audience and generating impact through your work. The School is a UK leader in pedagogical and practice-based research, hence a willingness to engage in knowledge exchange with educators and practitioners in the built environment to develop scholarship is also a priority.
You will be a registered architect and will be able to demonstrate a rising academic trajectory, and a broad portfolio of practice and/or scholarly activity. We are particularly interested in applicants with expertise in architectural design and communication, design theories and approaches. You will have a Minimum RIBA Part 2 including good first degree or equivalent and the ability to teach high-quality architectural design and representation.
