£42,036 to £48,677 per annum

Applications are invited for a full-time Lecturer B to contribute to teaching, supervision and research in Japanese Literature in the School of Literature, Drama and Creative Writing.

The successful applicant will be required to contribute to the forthcoming Interdisciplinary MA in Japanese Studies and to develop specialist undergraduate modules in related areas for the School. In addition, they will contribute to the School’s teaching and administration more generally.

Candidates with specialist knowledge in East Asian Literatures, contemporary global literatures, Japanese popular cultures, and/or translation are encouraged to apply. 

The successful applicant will also possess a strong research background and reputation, and will be expected to contribute to the School’s research reputation and REF2021 submission.

This indefinite full-time post is available from 1 January 2020.
