A Postdoctoral Research Fellow is required for the ERC-funded project “International Organisations and the Rise of a Global Metrological Field” led by Dr Sotiria Grek. Focusing on the policy areas of Education and Development, the project investigates the interrelationships of International Organisations in producing global metrics, in order to cast light on the impact of the global metrological field on transnational governance.

You will have a PhD in social science or history on a relevant topic, and experience of research in one or more of the areas of Public Policy, International Development, Organisation Studies or Anthropology.  You will have expertise in discourse analysis and interviewing, as well as an excellent grasp of the public policy literature and the sociology and/or anthropology of quantification; you will be familiar with scholarly work on sustainable development and willing to work across your own field of expertise. Knowledge of Social Network Analysis is not essential but desired.

The full-time fixed-term post is available for 35 hours per week for a period of 24 months from as early as 14 October 2019.

Salary: £33,199 to £39,609 per annum.
