The main duties of the post are: Perform experiments to determine if de novo dystrophin resulting from skipping of exon 53 induced in patient derived fibroblasts results in the expected size shift of dystrophin protein and Perform experiments to determine if there are differences in dystrophin transcript stability resulting from different patient mutations and/or exon skipping efficiency in patient derived fibroblasts.
