Summary:

Are you interested in a development opportunity managing essential aspects of a vibrant support service for students in our University Residences? 

We are seeking a Residence Life Manager. The available post offers an exciting opportunity to join the Residence Life team, which is part of Accommodation and Commercial Services and incorporates student Support and Wellbeing, Conduct, and Engagement and Development for student residents.

Responsibilities of the post include managing a number of Residence Life staff and overseeing the provision of an exceptional support service for resident students, including areas of Wellbeing, Engagement and Development.

The position requires an enthusiastic individual who will reflect our values and behaviours (http://www.sheffield.ac.uk/sheffieldprofessionals/theshefprofessionalframework) and fit in with the University’s Mission, Vision and Identity. Applicants must be educated to degree level and have experience of working with young adults in a residential environment (preferably with a background in Higher Education). Candidates must also be practised at managing staff, possess excellent organisational, communication, interpersonal and team-building skills and must have the confidence and initiative to control a variety of situations.
