Applications are invited for a Research & Fellow to support a UKRI-ESRC funded research project which looks to foster the resilient recovery of the poorest communities of Palu, Central Sulawesi, Indonesia, displaced by the 28th September 2018 earthquake and tsunami.
The post holder will collaborate with Co-I (Dr Priti Parikh) to assess how WASH affects displaced communities in Palu in consultation with teens, parents and teachers in displaced communities in Palu. They will work with the Co-I to: design an intervention to foster resilient recovery within these groups; design a method for evaluating whether the intervention has worked; and facilitate interdisciplinarity and cross-cultural ties.
This post is offered on a part-time basis (0.4FTE) and is available until 31 October 2022 in the first instance.
We are looking for a highly motivated, organised individual, with good report writing skills and the ability to present ideas and data at meetings and conferences. The successful candidate will have a PhD or equivalent in a relevant field; a mix of qualitative and quantitative skills; and knowledge of the WASH and resilience literature.
