About University of Electronic Science and Technology of China 

University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of China. UESTC was included as one of the first universities into "Project 211" in 1997, and then the nation's “Project 985” in 2001. In 2017, UESTC was included in Category A of the “World-class University” project. After more than sixty years of development, UESTC now has evolved into a key multidisciplinary university covering all-around programs in electronic disciplines with electronic science and technology as its nucleus, engineering as its major field and a harmonious integration of science, engineering, management, liberal arts and medical science.  

About School of Materials and Energy (SME) 

In order to promote the rapid development of materials, chemistry and energy disciplines, the School of Materials and Energy (SME) was founded in Jan, 2018, by integrating relevant education resources and subjects. SME has two primary disciplines: Materials Science and Engineering (ESI ranking 2.347‰), and Chemistry Engineering and Technology (ESI ranking 6.002‰). The goal of SME is by relying on the UESTC’s strong advantage of electronic information, to build a high-level college with the specialties of materials and chemistry and an international influence in the field of advanced materials, especially energy materials. 

We are building Materials Analysis and Characterization Center, together with the School's high-level discipline platform and School-Enterprise joint research platforms. These platforms include “National key laboratory of Electronic Thin Films and Integrated Devices”, “National Engineering Research Center for Electromagnetic Radiation Control Materials”，“ Sichuan Provincial Engineering Research Center of Flexible Display Material Genome”，“Cooperative Innovation Center for Military Core Electronic Materials and Devices”,“ International Science and Technology Cooperation Base for Microwave Communication Single Crystal Materials”,“Center for Applied Chemistry of UESTC”,“Renewable Energy and Devices Joint Lab of UESTC and Changhong”,“Advanced Lithium Battery Joint Lab of UESTC and Guojiaxingji”,“Electric Vehicle Engineering Center of UESTC” and “Lv Ran Science and Technology Group”and so on. Since 2018, UESTC and SME have invested specialized funds to build a new material analysis and characterization center with the goal to achieve the most impactful material analysis and testing platform in southwest China. 

In future, the School of Materials and Energy will keep the concept of high quality and specialty, build competitive teams, train talented individuals, achieve great success, and strive to create a new type of world-class research college. 

Qualifications and Requirements 

• Acquired a PHD degree granted by prestigious overseas universities in nature science or engineering field. It would be better for “Professor/Researcher position” to hold formal teaching and researching positions in overseas prestigious universities, institutions or enterprises. 
• Have outstanding academic achievements in the nature science or engineering fields.                                                                                                                                                                                         
• Be able to work full time in China. 

Compensation and Benefits 

• The basic annual salary: from RMB 150,000 to 400,000 
• Research funding from RMB 100,000-400,000 
• Settling-in and housing subsidies: from RMB 20,000 to 350,000, and transitional apartment for up to 1 year

• A photocopy of the PhD degree certificate, and the current professional and technical position/rank certificate, and award certificate, etc.
