The Division of Population Medicine within College of Biomedical Life Sciences seeks to recruit a highly motivated Research Associate to work on the NIHR HTA funded CONSCOP2 project. The successful candidate will be committed to high quality research that leads to the publishing of work in high-quality journals. We are looking for someone with an interest in cancer and improving screening and diagnostic pathways, as well as some knowledge around the collection and use of clinical samples for research.
This post will involve working within the Division of Population Medicine, Colorectal Cancer Screening, Prevention and Early Detection group led by Dr Dolwani and working closely with the Centre for Trials Research who is the co-ordinating Clinical Trials Unit for CONSCOP2 and the largest group of clinical trials staff in Wales with full UK Clinical Research Collaboration (UKCRC) registered status. It will also involve close liaison with NHS sites and the CONSCOP2 Clinical Research Fellow and Pathology team. The post will involve collation and linking of colonoscopy and pathology data and assisting in creation of databases, sample management processes and analysis. A knowledge of and background in biological sciences with experience of working with clinical trial teams would be helpful.
