We are offering an exciting opportunity for an exceptional professional to join the Careers and Employability Team within Student Services. This integrated team is responsible for the delivery of innovative high quality careers and employability support to students and graduates working collaboratively with Faculties and external stakeholders in the implementation of BU2025, the University’s strategic plan.
In this role, you will manage the development and re-launch of the BU Student Project Bank, an innovative initiative that provides students from across BU with real-world consultancy projects to use as part of their academic studies. You will work with external organisations, academic and professional colleagues to generate appropriate project opportunities for students and coordinate the required project brief, outputs and specifications associated with each project.
You will have an understanding of the importance of knowledge exchange, innovation and impact throughout the research lifecycle, and project management experience would be desirable.
You will be customer focused, with excellent communication and organisational skills, as well as have the ability to improve and develop processes. We are seeking a self-motivated individual who is able to deliver to deadlines and manage multiple activities, proactively engage with industry as well as assist and enable students to secure suitable projects in order to maximise their benefit in terms of academic and career development.
This position is available on a fixed-term basis until 31 July 2022.
