The Performance Lifestyle & Wellbeing Officer will play a key role in supporting elite student‑athletes within the Foundation Degree Programme and Loughborough Sport’s wider performance environment. The postholder will help athletes balance the demands of high‑performance sport with full‑time academic study, delivering tailored lifestyle, wellbeing and pastoral support. Working as part of both the Foundation Programme Team and the Performance Support Services team, the role supports athletes across a diverse range of Olympic, Paralympic and professional sports. A strong commitment to safeguarding, dual‑career development and proactive wellbeing sit at the heart of the position.
The successful candidate will contribute to induction, deliver anti‑doping education, and collaborate across interdisciplinary teams.
They will also help develop and coordinate Performance Lifestyle services, support mentors within the programme, and engage in staff development activities. This full‑time role combines a permanent 0.4 FTE commitment within Foundation Studies with a 0.6 FTE fixed‑term component in Loughborough Sport, funded until July 2027, and requires occasional evening and weekend work to align with sporting schedules.
