An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen within the Student Services & Experience team for a resilient, professional and motivated Student Mental Health and Wellbeing Manager. Working as a member of the Student Services & Experience Management Team you will strategically lead the provision of Student Mental Health and Wellbeing, Disability Support and the multi-faith Chaplaincy support to around 7000 students in a way that complements their academic experience and promotes their sense of wellbeing and belonging at the University of Bolton. We are looking for a candidate who has previous well-rounded experience of Student Wellbeing and Mental Health.
The successful candidate will be required to make difficult and sometimes complex decisions, in a timely manager, regarding the support of complex student cases. This will include sensitive support of students who are self-harming, have expressed suicidal l ideation or have attempted suicide. In addition, the post holder will have to provide support to front line staff who are also supporting students who are considered high risk.
The successful candidate will also bring innovation and creativity, with excellent leadership and motivation skills, honed through experience of leading teams to deliver exciting change through their team.
