We are seeking a highly motivated NIHR-BHF Cardiovascular Partnership Manager to bring together experts in cardiovascular science and related areas from across NIHR Biomedical Research Centres (BRCs), NIHR Clinical Research Facilities (CRFs), BHF Centres of Research Excellence and Accelerators. The NIHR-BHF Cardiovascular Partnership provides a platform for UK-wide collaborations, enabling to identify common research priorities and develop research programmes based on shared expertise and capabilities, leverage funding and facilitate interactions with commercial partners in cardiovascular research. 

You as the Senior Manager will report to the Partnership Chair, Professor Keith Channon, and will ensure effective liaison between stakeholders. You will provide the overall operational leadership, manage collaborations and drive productive interactions between the participating experts and external partners, including industry. A key role for you will be to work with external partners, including industry, and other national stakeholders such as British Cardiovascular Society, specialist societies and patient organisations in cardiovascular disease. You will work to identify shared objectives to foster collaborative research programmes that can leverage funding. 

You will be required to hold a higher degree, or equivalent qualification, in a biomedical discipline and have senior project management experience and experience of working at strategic level with academic research collaborations, commercial partners, and/or research funders. Proven experience of research facilitation and research management would be desirable. 

This is a full time appointment on a fixed term contract for 3 years and you will be based at the Level 6 West Wing, John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, OX3 9DU.
