In 2021, the UWS School of Business and Creative Industries is continuing to make a significant investment in academic posts to support its strategic development and to help further position the School as a key player locally, nationally and internationally.
We’re seeking applications from individuals to join the School’s Division of Management, Organisations and People in the role of a Lecturer in Economics. You will have the opportunity to carry out teaching, research, enterprise, and knowledge exchange activities.
You should have a relevant degree and be qualified to postgraduate/PhD level. Ideally, you will have practical experience in industry and able to develop and lead projects in partnership with external stakeholders as well as to engage in teaching and other scholarly activities. You will be able to demonstrate a commitment to delivering high quality teaching and supporting an outstanding student experience. You should have experience of delivering and developing modules in economics (undergraduate and postgraduate levels); and experience of hybrid delivery of learning and teaching and of use of authentic/real-world assessment approaches.
You will contribute to the School’s growing research, enterprise and knowledge exchange activities building on our recent strong performance in this area.
You’ll be joining us at a very exciting time in our development and would become part of a vibrant team offering support and guidance to our students. You will have opportunities to help build the reputation and profile of our School as a leading contributor to the economic and social development of the communities in which we work as well as engage in exciting international opportunities.
