We are looking for a highly motivated Medical Statistician to join the Nuffield Department of Surgical Sciences (NDS). The postholder will work closely and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including surgeons, clinicians, statisticians, data managers, health economists and trial managers. Strong analytical skills, an enquiring and flexible attitude, and an interest in working collaboratively with researchers from different disciplines will be important components for success.

To be considered, you will have a MSc degree in medical statistics or a closely related subject. You will also have experience of working as a statistician including experience of assisting with the design and analysis of studies for medical research and proficiency in at least one statistical package (e.g. STATA, SAS, R). Experience of research in a surgical setting is desirable

This full-time post is available immediately and is fixed-term for 2 years in the first instance. We would be willing to consider applications for part-time hours.
