We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing and Communications Administrator to work within our Marketing and Communications team at the University of Sheffield’s Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre.

As the Marketing and Communications Administrator you will be ensuring that activities are delivered effectively, project plans are adhered to and effective records are maintained. You will be working within a busy office and must be able to manage your own workload and carry out a number of roles within the team.

You will have;

  • Experience of working in a customer facing role.
  • Be educated to GCSE level (or equivalent qualification) or equivalent work experience 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a team of staff.
  • Ability to analyse and solve problems with an appreciation of longer-term implications.
  • Ability to prioritise own workload, allowing for unplanned activities as there may be conflicting priorities to deal with.

About the team

The Communications and Marketing team is a key professional service within the AMRC, providing a quality marketing, communications, media and PR service to the organisation, including the AMRC, AMRC Training Centre and Castings Technology International.

The team is responsible for generating positive coverage for the organisation, setting it apart from its peers and driving its reputation as a centre of excellence with the high-value advanced manufacturing sector.

We support professional registration (CEng/ IEng) with IMechE and are accredited to support developing Engineers via Monitored Progress Development Scheme (MPDS).

The AMRC is also committed to supporting the talent and potential of women in engineering and has been awarded an Athena SWAN Charter – Bronze in recognition of advancing gender equality.
