The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an early career Data Scientist to fast-track their career development within the UK Government’s Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) framework. You will undertake a 2-year collaborative project between Veritas Advisory and Brunel University London. The post will be based predominantly at the company’s premises in London and the post holder will take a leading role in the creation and develop an automated software application.

Veritas Advisory is a dynamic real estate tax advisory practice with the HQ based in Central London working on projects throughout the UK. We are a Chartered Surveying firm, and are client focused, offering high quality technical property taxation advice on transactions and developments across all industry sectors, from leisure, commercial to industrial and retail

The project is aimed to standardise the process of data entry, and to develop an intelligent system to automate the process of taxation incentives, mainly capital allowance assessments, and to communicate this new innovation externally to accountants, advisors, companies as well as the relevant institutions.

You will receive extensive practical and formal training, gain marketable skills and broaden your knowledge and expertise within an industrially relevant project.

You will benefit from a personal training budget of £4000, and additional residential management training courses as part of the KTP programme (Home - Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (


  • Hold a good honours degree (2:1 or above) in Computer Science (or other STEM subjects)

  • Strong programming skills with Python.

  • Communicates with impact, both with external advisors and clients

  • Takes personal responsibility and accountability for own work

  • Shows enthusiasm and is highly motivated to learn

  • Works well within a team environment

  • Good problem-solving skills
