NETSCC will be the largest externally funded contract held within the new School, and is located on the University of Southampton Science Park, Chilworth.
This replacement Consultant in Public Health Medicine post is a senior post with a high level of responsibility, the postholder will be part of the NETSCC Senior Leadership Group. The planned responsibilities of this post lie largely within the NIHR research programmes that NETSCC manages. The NETSCC managed NIHR research programmes can include research in any aspect of all specialties of clinical medicine and the postholder will need to be medically qualified to ensure they have the necessary medical training and ability to understand the technical elements of medicine across all such specialties.

This is a technically challenging role that will require the postholder to draw upon a varied breadth of medical knowledge and understanding on a day-to-day basis.
We are looking for a Consultant in Public Health Medicine, or a medically qualified Public Health Specialty Trainee with the necessary medical and public health medicine knowledge, skills and expertise who can support these NIHR research programmes.
