Applications are invited for a permanent part-time post of an Associate Professor/Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist (with a special interest in Reproductive Medicine) within UCD School of Medicine.
University College Dublin and the National Maternity Hospital wish to expand their academic leadership in obstetrics and gynaecology by appointing a 0.5 position of an Associate Professor/Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist (with a special interest in Reproductive Medicine). The appointee will join Ireland’s largest university at one of the country’s leading hospitals which is both a busy maternity hospital and a tertiary national perinatal referral centre.
Both organisations are committed to building on a long-standing partnership to deliver high quality maternity, gynaecology, and Reproductive Medicine patient care services, to advance research which leads to a better understanding of relevant diseases and to create the next generation of clinicians by training medical students in obstetrics and gynaecology and reproductive medicine.
The Associate Professor/Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecology (with a special interest in Reproductive Medicine) will be based at the National Maternity Hospital, where s/he will work with colleagues to deliver academic programmes and provide one clinical service session in obstetrics/gynaecology at the hospital. They will contribute to the state-of-the-art academic teaching and research programmes of the University.
Successful candidate will be appointed on the appropriate Salary scale at the first point in scale or in line with current Government pay policy and commensurate with experience.
