We are now looking for a Widening Access Officer to join our team at our Carmarthen or Swansea campus on a full-time, permanent basis, working 37 hours per week.

- THE ROLE -

As a Widening Access Officer, you’ll deliver outreach activities and events across schools and colleges, supporting the achievement of student recruitment targets and the delivery of the Widening Access Plan.

Building strong relationships with schools and colleges, you’ll deliver exciting and engaging talks and presentations to potential students through the medium of Welsh and English.

Highlighting the excellent benefits of studying with us, you’ll provide comprehensive information on our wide range of courses and support services available.

You’ll help develop eye-catching marketing materials for our outreach activities, paying close attention to detail and distribution plans.

- ABOUT YOU -

To be considered as a Widening Access Officer, you will need:

- The ability to communicate fluently (spoken and written) through the medium of Welsh to a high standard, in addition to English

- The ability to give excellent presentations to a variety of audiences

- The ability to command a classroom environment

- Good working knowledge of University course entry requirements, application procedures and support services

- Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels

- Excellent IT skills

- A degree level qualification or equivalent

- The ability to work flexibly including travel between campuses and UK wide locations when required
