We are looking for a pro-active Web Editor to come and help us revamp the Postgraduate Admissions website and look after the annual update of the postgraduate course directory.

The role is based in the Communications Team within the Postgraduate Admissions Office. We are a friendly team, passionate about improving the applicant experience for all those who meet us.

The Web Editor is responsible for the smooth running of the Postgraduate Admissions Website (including its maintenance and development), and the annual update of the Course Directory. This includes writing content for the web, continuously improving the user journey to offer accurate information to applicants, planning and implementing restructure, sourcing visual material such as infographics and photographs, supporting with the creation of video content, assisting with queries coming in via the web form (over 10,000 annually), and engaging with internal stakeholders.

The annual course update (Postgraduate Admissions Prospectus) is the six-month long process that updates over 300 PG courses for applications to the next academic year, in GAOBase (A database management platform linked with the PG Admissions website and GAP, where the application form sits). The web editor works closely with departments, schools, degree committees and EQPO to ensure that course information is accurate, written in simple language without jargon and that it is CMA compliant.

The post holder is also required to work closely with the Communications Manager, and the Information and Systems Manager to ensure that GAOBase synchronises with the Applicant Portal.

The course directory is viewed over 30,000 times each week and Postgraduate Admissions receives traffic from every country in the world, with 75% of all traffic coming from overseas. Considering this, the website's maintenance, continuous improvement and the adaptation of content for international audiences is imperative and essential to the delivery of applicants for PG courses within the university.
