20/20 Project Producer

University Of The Arts London

Location: London
Salary: £39,275 to £47,120 per annum.
Hours: Full Time
Contract Type: Fixed-Term/Contract
Placed On: 25th November 2021
Closes: 4th January 2022
Job Ref: 7545

We are seeking an outstanding, experienced, enthusiastic and ambitious Project Producer to manage a groundbreaking three-year programme, combining artist residencies with artistic commissioning at scale.

The 20/20 project is funded by Freelands Foundation, Arts Council England and UAL. Based at the Decolonising Arts Institute and managed by the Decolonising Arts Institute Director, the post holder will work closely with the Project Assistant, Project Partners, Management and Advisory Group members, and other project stakeholders. You will significantly contribute to the success of the project and its effective and efficient delivery, by managing stakeholder relationships, liaising with the artists and the collection partners, managing the financial resources and project office, and ensuring documentation, promotion and reporting of key aspects of the project.

Why choose us?
The UAL Decolonising Arts Institute seeks to challenge colonial and imperial legacies and drive cultural, social and institutional change. We imagine the Institute as a decentred, disruptive, evolving and porous space, creating interdisciplinary collaborations and research-driven projects through partnerships across UAL and beyond.

20/20 is an ambitious commissioning and network programme led by UAL’s Decolonising Arts Institute that will place 20 artists with 20 public art collections across the UK. Combining virtual/online and physical/onsite artist residencies with commissioning at scale, 20/20 will lead to a new permanent acquisition in each host collection. 20/20 sets out to build stronger relationships between UK collections. It will support inclusive engagement between collections and the communities they serve, to generate richer understanding of collections’ histories and the contributions of the under-represented or overlooked artists in their midst.

Your profile
You will have a first degree in a relevant subject and in particular, you will have relevant experience of managing large scale projects, including financial/budget management. Additionally, you will have experience of managing artists residences and producing artists’ commissions and of organising events/meetings, workshops and promotional media. You will also have experience of writing management information reports and disseminating information and findings in accessible and inclusive ways to wide and diverse audiences.

Please apply early as the closing date may be held earlier should sufficient applications be received.

Should you have queries please send us an email to RKEEstaffrecruitment@arts.ac.uk.
