DMULocal+ Programme 2021-2022 The focus of the DMUlocal+ programme is on promoting healthy weight and physical activity in Leicester across all ages. It aims to promote healthy, sustainable lifestyle changes in line with existing national and local schemes. The project will also identify and propose the most appropriate and effective interventions with long term outcomes across populations in Leicester City. The project team comprises a multi-disciplinary team of researchers, health and social care practitioners and community members.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Programme Manager to join our team on a Fixed Term, Part-time basis! This role will work closely with the programme leads, the DMU team, and close association with the programme partners. The overall purpose of the role is to provide efficient, confidential and proactive programme management across four main areas: 1) lead the development, implementation and monitoring of the programme databases and manage improvement plans to comply with University research ethics and GDPR requirements; 2) Manage the programme finance services liaising with the programme lead and finance team to support the submission of financial claims and the organisation for any match funding requirements; 3) Work closely with the workstream leads and other key stakeholders on monitoring the key performance of programme; 4) Provide administrative support to the programme including, leading and coordinating the dissemination of the programme insights and news across the various social media platforms.
We are looking for an individual with experience ensuring compliance with the ethical principles in a research project. They will have the knowledge and understanding of ensuring compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018, including developing data management protocols and document retention strategies. We are especially interested in candidates who can communicate verbally with public members, individually and in groups, adapting communication styles to different audiences and experience working in a research project. Suitable candidates have experience in project report writing and presentation of information to various stakeholders. They will also possess the ability to build internal and external networks, strong teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
