The Fashion Management, Marketing and Communication department houses fashion business courses covering the full spectrum of the commercial side of fashion at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The courses recruit high calibre students with strong academic and creative abilities and are designed to develop these talents to ensure our graduate’s unique combinations of skills are well suited for the fashion / creative industries in which they will work.

As a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer, you will teach across our undergraduate and postgraduate courses to further strengthen our team.  You will also be required to contribute to a range of modules across the subject area and should be able to offer the required attributes as detailed in the attached person specification.

Your main focus will be on our highly reputable undergraduate course in BA (Hons) Fashion Communication and Promotion.  You will possess an excellent understanding of the subject as well as knowledge of contextual research and the current professional practice within the global fashion and associated creative industries.  You will have academic and / or industry experience in one or more of the following areas; fashion, trend or lifestyle communication and promotion theory, methods and practice, creative campaign delivery, visual, cultural and digital literacy or creative direction and fashion curation.

You will hold a relevant degree in a related subject area, ideally coupled with postgraduate qualifications or evidence that you are prepared to continue your own education through research and continued professional development.  A qualification in the HE sector is also an advantage.
