Located in the heart of Birmingham City Centre, we are a highly ambitious company that has acquired two independent boarding schools (Adcote School for Girls and Myddelton College). We are rapidly growing and provide huge potential to rise within the company in a short space of time. Our plans over the next five years are for expansion, and we are seeking somebody looking for a long-term position to join us. Flexible working arrangements will be considered. 

Main Purpose of the Role & Person Specification

We are seeking to appoint an International Officer responsible for the recruitment of students from various international markets.  The post holder will be an ambassador for both schools, delivering excellent customer service to prospective parents, students and educational consultants. You will contribute to the development of sales strategies including setting and reaching of targets and will liaise with the Assistant Director of International Admissions and senior school staff to maximise student recruitment, including frequent data/sales analysis and the creation of marketing campaign proposals as required. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, sales focused and well organised with the ability to multi-task and work effectively in a team.  The International Officer will also counsel families and students enquiring about Summer School applications and manage Summer School recruitment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Manage liaison with parents and pupils, schools and agents; organise recruitment activities and to develop marketing materials to promote the schools.
  2. Responsible for enquiries from parents and pupils for a range of courses. Respond appropriately to telephone, e-mail and enquiries through social media.
  3. Manage the admissions service, providing information and advice relating to courses on offer, arranging interviews and placement tests when required and processing individual enrolments for students.
  4. Set up and maintain a computerised database of student records using the CRM system, analysing data and producing sales reports. Liaise with and respond to queries from other departments.
  5. Work closely with senior staff including Admissions and Marketing colleagues at schools and members of the International Team to ensure a positive experience for students.
  6. Manage the development of processes and systems to improve competitiveness in the UK Boarding School Sector.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Educated to Degree Level or Above
  • Desirable experience and proven success in student recruitment in Independent Schools
  • Customer Service Experience (Minimum 2 Years)

Desired Knowledge

  • An understanding of school admissions processes
  • An understanding of the UK Education Sector
  • Knowledge of a second language at professional working proficiency desirable.
