This is an exciting opportunity for a full-time Senior Lecturer to join Architecture, Design and Built Environment team at Solent University, Southampton and contribute to our expanding portfolio of courses. We offer professionally accredited undergraduate courses in BSc (Hons) Construction Management, BA (Hons) Architectural Design and Technology, BA (Hons) Interior Design and BA (Hons) Interior Design Decoration as well as postgraduate courses in MSc Sustainable Building Design and MSc Architectural Project Management. We also offer Higher Nationals and Apprenticeships in Architectural Technology, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, and Civil Engineering.

Fully accredited by the Chartered Institute of Building, the BSc (Hons) Construction Management degree has been running for more than 25 years, and enjoys excellent reputation in the sector for providing real world, industry focussed education.

We are looking for an outstanding academic with the vision and ability to contribute to the delivery of high-quality, real-world teaching and scholarly practice that places student experience and achievement at its heart. You will be joining a team of professional, motivated, and friendly academics who take pride in delivering excellence in teaching and learning.

We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate knowledge and expertise in construction management, construction technology, quantity surveying, site surveying, civil engineering, and project management. Relevant industry experience is highly desirable.

We expect the successful candidate to be confident in the use of I.T, including experience with blended learning and use of virtual learning environment. Experience of AutoCAD, project management software such as Microsoft Project or Asta, measurement software such as Bluebeam and Building Information Modelling systems are advantageous. It is expected that the post holder will be a member of a relevant chartered professional body or working towards membership.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out teaching, learning, and administrative duties as outlined in the accompanying job profile.
