We are looking for four Admissions Enquiry Assistants to join a fast paced, busy professional admissions team at Queen Mary and act as the frontline for our applicants and enquirers.

Our Admissions Enquiry Assistants provide a friendly, customer-focused service to prospective students to the admissions office. The Admissions Enquiry team responds to a high volume of enquires from potential applicants, giving advice about entry requirements, the admissions process and answering questions about the student experience at Queen Mary. Admissions Enquiry Assistants also support Admissions Assistants and Admissions Officers with a range of admissions tasks as required, including supporting Undergraduate Admissions with the busy Confirmation and Clearing period, handling enquiries and triaging applications. All Admissions team members are expected to work flexibly and may be assigned to work across team boundaries at peak times.

The Admissions Enquiry Assistant role is ideal for a self-motivated individual who enjoys helping others and thrives from working in a frontline position. This role provides an excellent entry point for candidates interested in developing a professional career in university admissions.

The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service and administrative experience in a busy customer-oriented role in an educational or public sector context. An effective communicator and team player, you will use your good organisational skills to manage a busy and varied workload involving multiple tasks. You will be able to work accurately under pressure and to prioritise work effectively to meet deadlines. You will also have excellent IT skills and experience of using a complex computerised records system to retrieve information and input data.

The post’s will be based at the Mile End Campus in London and are full time (35 hours per week). Starting salary will be in the range of £22,781 - £27,513 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
