The Graduate School acts as a centre for all doctoral level activity at the University as well as providing support and training for doctoral students.  Within the Graduate School, the School Support Team provides a support service to School Directors of PGR Studies and the current doctoral students in Schools and Departments. We are looking for a competent and professional administrator to join this busy team.

You will work as part of a team of Postgraduate Research (PGR) Administrators to support PGR administration and management, providing high quality support and advice to School Directors of PGR Studies, prospective and current postgraduate research students, supervisors and the Graduate School, and contributing more widely to the success of PGR programmes across the University. 

The role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis.

You will have:

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Significant IT experience and skills (specifically Microsoft Office software such as word, excel and outlook) 
  • Ability to provide a high standard of customer service within a student facing role
  • Ability to maintain accurate and comprehensive records
  • Ability to prioritise work with competing and set deadlines
  • Ability to provide pastoral support to PGR students
  • Recent experience of working as an administrator in a busy office environment
