The University of Bath is seeking to appoint a Clinical Lecturer (Teaching) in Football Medicine.
About the role
This post is intended to make a significant contribution to teaching and clinical mentorship in a new Masters programme in Football Medicine, which has been designed and launched in association with FiFA. The programme is delivered through blended learning, with teaching primarily taking place online alongside annual residential weeks for face-to-face teaching, and clinical assessments conducted on the university campus.
You will deliver taught content related to theoretical, clinical and applied aspects of Football Medicine and broader Sport and Exercise Medicine, strengthening our existing clinical team.
The role is offered on a permanent, 11 hours per week (0.3 FTE) basis. We are interested in applications from licensed and practising Medical Doctors or Physiotherapists.
About you
The programme will be based within the Department for Health, which has a strong international reputation for delivering leading multi and inter-disciplinary teaching and research across a broad range of topics in health, exercise and sport. We are currently ranked 7th in the International QS rankings for sport-related subjects, and host leading impactful research organised around three themes: Lifelong Health and Wellbeing, Improving Human Function, and a Fair and Vibrant Society.
About the Department
The Department for Health holds a Bronze Athena SWAN award in recognition of our ongoing commitment to gender equality. We positively encourage applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates regardless of sex, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, religion or belief, marital status, or pregnancy and maternity. We value, promote and celebrate inclusion, challenging discrimination and putting equality, diversity and belonging at the heart of everything we do. We aim to be an inclusive university, where difference is celebrated, respected and encouraged. We truly believe that diversity of experience, perspectives, and backgrounds will lead to a better environment for our employees and students, creating a learning environment and organisational culture that enhances health and wellbeing across our community.
