HBU-UCLan School of Media, Communication and Creative Industries is a partnership between Hebei University in China and the University of Central Lancashire. It was established in 2014 and now has 800 students studying for UCLan validated degrees.
We are now looking for a highly experienced EAP professional to take the lead in developing our Foundation provision which is designed to enable Chinese students to develop the skills necessary to succeed on a UK degree programme in the Creative Industries.
The candidate will be fully EAP qualified, have a great deal of overseas teaching experience, have a track record of Course Development, as well as extensive experience of facilitating and designing training programmes for EAP/EFL/TESOL tutors. The candidate must be an innovative f2f classroom teacher and need to demonstrate a proven track record of online teaching along with extensive experience of online and f2f materials development. A team player, the post holder will also need to be able to work independently and take the academic lead on modules or short courses.
The successful candidate will build and extend the English Language provision at HBU. The post holder will need to be east and west facing with the aim of further building good academic relationships between the two universities and to create new opportunities.
The post holder will be based at Hebei University but will also spend a small proportion of their time in the UK working within the School of Humanities, Language and Global Studies.
This is an outstanding and quite unique opportunity to work as part of a team, to develop a high-quality creative industries facility on a large modern campus at Hebei University.
